When you hear the word, “Hawaii,” the first thought that comes to people’s head is PARADISE! So on my free time, you will find me at heart of Honolulu, aka one of the biggest tourist district on Oahu.
Waikiki is one of my favorite places to go to because it’s very busy, and you get to see people from all over the world. I love walking on the streets of Waikiki because while shopping from store to store, you get to see the beautiful sunny & blue sky, palm trees, and the beach! However, I’m not going to lie about taking living in Hawaii for granted for the past 13 years that I’ve been living here.. I know.. don’t judge okay…. haha
So on this day, I played tourist guide with my friend since she was not familiar with Waikiki. I had chosen to show her the Moana Surfrider Hotel. Its exterior is designed like a vintage white mansion, and when you go in, the back will lead you to the amazing outdoor area with a beach view & a pool!
We also visited stores such as Anthropologie, Free People, and Urban Outfitters. I did not expect to purchase anything that day, however I ended up buying really cute pink sunglasses!
After walking for some time, I suggested to eat at Island Vintage Cafe. I ordered a vegetarian plate, and my friend ordered an acai bowl. Both were very delicious~ My plate consisted of mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, lettuce, raisins, pistachios, 1/4 papaya, toasted bread, along with some jelly spread. It was outdoor seating so it felt very relaxing, having a nice light meal, and enjoying the views of Waikiki. I definitely recommend trying it if you ever visit Hawaii/the island of Oahu.
(Side note: I do not have a label for my diet, but I do try to follow a plant-based diet 90% of the time).
After we finished our meal, I decided to go to TJ Maxx to get some stationary. Side story – I recently learned that having a clean room is so important because a cluttered space is a cluttered mind! So me attempting to get my life together – I picked up some really cute notepads and a notebook that is totally ME!
And that was pretty much how I spent my day. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Please feel free to share/ leave comments on where you are from and what you like to do in your city when you’re free.
Thank you ~
